ThanXXXX yur the best. I have a problem, my orb disappears when I add the planet diffuse. Install the Nvidia driver again and be shure that you choose the custom configuration option and turn the PhysX on!?

Now it works for me. Next update your video drivers. Orb has high memory requirements, so make sure you have VRAM. I had troubles using a 2gb Nvidia GTX I switched to a GTX 4gb card. In After Effects you may need to adjust your texture memory settings.

You can find it in preferences. Look at the previews section and click on the GPU Information button. There you can manually enter a number for texture memory. The reason that I continually purchase products from VC is that the freebies and tuts are amazing. You guys have figured out that you have to give to get. Keep up the amazing work. Troy Pearson. I managed to get Orb working after having the common issue of freezing when a texture was applied. Orb is a VRAM hungry app, so you need enough memory. Once all that was done, Orb is now working for me. You'll see a place to enter in your texture memory size.

It seems to be a video memory problem. I was running a 2gb GTX I swapped it with a 4gb GTX and reinstalled the latest v drivers. I also checked preferences in AE and saw that the texture memory in the previews settings of preferences was set to mg. This is a time saver. I just used the Orb plugin in the creation of this animation, which is a tribute to Star Trek Voyager. Ship rendered in Max, composited in After Effects, and of course the cool Orb plugin for the planet at the end of the shot. Enjoy the brief animation!

Hugo Orono. When I add the texture in the maps area the planet disappears! Please update to the latest graphics driver. I am having some trouble with the plugin. When I turn up the illumination to get a halo effect, the illumination is only in the shadows.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Any help would be appreciated! I'm having this issue as well. It seems the falloff zone from the light almost casts a shadow in the illumination area. I'm having an issue loading the diffuse map onto the orb layer minutes into the video. When I do this nothing happens. If I enable the texture layer, it covers the entire Orb solid I created.

Now create a point-light and paste the mask-path-data to the light's position control v. Rename the light to "emitter" and switch it off. Create a new solid comp sized und apply particular. Choose a light as Emitter and you got a circle of particles.

Modify the particle to your Needs I used a pricture from a rock as sprite for the particles. To hide the ring behind the orb, use the z-buffer-Option from particular. I created a white copy of your orb and used it as z-buffer-layer. Great job!
